The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkhya (RAJUK) yesterday started evicting unauthorised commercial establishments from Banani area, a week after it began the drive at Purbachal, reports BSS. Led by RAJUK magistrate Khandker Oliur Rahman, a mobile court started operations yesterday morning from Block D and road no-10 at Banani and evicted seven shops constructed illegally. 'Pure Living Furniture' at holding number 30, 'Indian Bust & Lounge', an illegal staircase, and 'saajai', a beauty salon, were evicted from the place at holding number 68 and 66, 'Holding Collection', 'Fatema Fashion' and 'Vishwari Collection' at holding number 60 were also evicted. During the drive, utility service providers disconnected services. Using bulldozers, RAJUK demolished illegally constructed ramps in respective buildings.
