The Chittagong University (CU) authorities yesterday suspended its six students for various terms on charge of involvement with rowdy activities on campus. The students were identified as Walidur Rahman, a student of finance department, academic session 2010-2011, Tasnim Shikhder, a student of English department, academic session 2014-2015, Shahriar Chowdhury Emon, a student of Music department, Shahraj Chowdhury, a student of History department, Mahmudul Hasan, a student of philosophy department and Ziaul Haque Mazummder of anthropology department. Of them, Walidur Rahman was suspended as permanently for beaten up an on duty doctor of CU medical centre on March 10, 2017. Md Ali Asgor Chowdhury, proctor of CU said, “After investigation on previous incidents of the year, we found their involvement. That’s why this they were suspended,” he further added.
