Indefinite bus, minibus strike begins in Natore

Natore: Natore District Bus and Minibus Owners Association enforced an indefinite bus and minibus strike since yesterday morning protesting extortion incidents and demanding to stop it, reports UNB.
The decision was taken from a meeting on Monday night, said Lakshan Poddar, president of Natore District Bus and Minibus Owners Association.
The bus and minibus owners alleged that Motor Owners Association, an unregistered transport association of Singra Upazila, took extortion from the transports plying through the upazila.
As the bus drivers of Natore District Bus and Minibus Owners Association protested the incident, they assaulted the transport workers of Natore.
Protesting the incidents, the Natore District Bus and Minibus Owners Association enforced the strike.
