KSA keen to hire more workers from Bangladesh

Speaker of Saudi Shoura Council Dr Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh yesterday praised the role of Bangladeshi workers particularly professionals, doctors, engineers and skilled workers; and showed interest to get more workers from Bangladesh at all levels, reports UNB. He mentioned about the upcoming Arab Islamic American summit in Riyadh on May 21 and hoped that leaderships of the Muslim Ummah would engage constructively for peace and stability in the region. The issues came up for discussion when Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Saudi Shoura Council in the city. The Saudi Speaker was accompanied by two members of Saudi Shoura Council and Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Dhaka.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to attend the Arab Islamic American summit in Riyadh. Last time the Shoura Council Speaker visited Bangladesh in 2013 at the invitation of the then Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament, according to Foreign Ministry. Saudi Speaker lauded Bangladesh's remarkable economic progress under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He mentioned that Saudi Arab-Bangladesh bilateral relations have entered a new height in recent years with new opportunities. Foreign Minister echoed the same and informed the speaker on the ongoing development projects and other socio-economic progress in the field of food security, poverty alleviation, rural development and women empowerment under the "Vision 2021" of the present government of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Foreign Minister Ali lauded the initiatives of Saudi King Salman's "Vision 2030" to transform Saudi economy in the face of economic challenges in the region. He reiterated Bangladesh's readiness to support the ongoing development initiatives of the Saudi King. They also discussed about further strengthening of the solidarity and unity of Muslim Ummah.
