Jazz evening with ‘Imran Ahmed Trio’ at EMK Center

EMK Center is organising Jazz evening by Imran Ahmed Trio today at EMK Center, Dhanmondi in the capital. Imran Ahmed Trio is a jazz trio from Bangladesh. The members are, Imran Ahmed, Mohaimin Karim and Towfiq Arifin Turjo. The group is heavily influenced by both swing and the modern jazz way of playing music. Together, they have been making music and performing for over three years. The trio is currently playing concerts on a regular basis in and out of Dhaka.
Imran Ahmed- a guitar player and composer from Dhaka, has been active in the field of jazz music since for past few years. He mostly known for his works with his groups “Imran Ahmed Quintet” and Imran Ahmed Trio.
Towfiq Arifin Turjo- a Drummer from Bangladesh, has been active in the field of Jazz and experimental genres. Often works with visiting jazz artists from abroad as a session drummer. Currently plays in a funk band called 42 and with Imran Ahmed Quintet.
Mohaimin Karim a Bass player from Dhaka. Mohaimin has been an active participant and contributor in the scene of jazz music. He’s currently busy with Imran Ahmed Quintet and his own project called Mohai’s Trio.
Tickets worth of taka 100 will be available at EMK Center before the event.
