36 arrested in Satkhira

Satkhira: Police in separate drives arrested 43 people, including an activist of Jamaat-e-Islami, from different parts of the district, from Thursday to Friday morning, on various charges, reports UNB. Mizanur Rahman, an inspector of the Special Branch of Satkhira police, said of the arrestees ten people were held from Sadar upazila, five from Kalaroa, four from Tala, two from Kaliganj, ten from Shyamnagar, three from Ashashuni and two from Patkelghata upazilas of the district. The arrestees are accused in different cases like acts of sabotage and drug abuse, Mizan added.
