RANGPUR: Bangladesh has been advancing smoothly on the highway of development on its way to become a middle income by 2021 and rich country by 2041 following tremendous success of the present government, reports BSS. This opinion came at a discussion on ‘Informing people about the government’s success and achievement’, a press release said here yesterday. The District Information Office organised the discussion in Taraganj Upazila Parishad auditorium in the district on Monday afternoon with Assistant Information Officer Tasmia Tamanna in the chair. Taraganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Zilufa Sultana attended the discussion as the chief guest.
Taraganj Upazila Vice-chairmen Ataur Rahman, Upazila Secondary Education officer Shahnaz Begum, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Shahnaz Farzana Afroz, Kursha union Chairman Afzalul Haque Sarker, addressed as special guests.
In her keynote presentation, Assistant Information Officer Tasmia Tamanna narrated the huge success achieved by the present government during the past eight years in every sector of development and national economy.
The chief guest cited the massive developments already completed in Taraganj upazila by the present government improving the overall socioeconomic condition and life standard of the common people during the past eight years.She called upon the common people to work unitedly in preventing social curses like terrorism and militancy to further accelerate the pace of development in building a middle income nation by 2021 and developed Bangladesh by 2041.
