Abducted boy rescued    
Sirajganj: Law enforcers rescued a minor boy from Hatikumrul-Bonpara highway in Khalkula area in Tarash upazila on Monday night after two days of his abduction, reports UNB.
Monzur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tarash Police Station, said that Moazzem Hossain, 27, son of one Akbar Ali, had been working at the house of Badhan, son of one Aslam, a class III student, at Ibidia village in Harirampur upazila of Manikganj district for three years.
Moazzem abducted Badhon on May 6 while he was returning from his school.
After tracking Moazzem’s mobile phone, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police in Manikganj, with the help of Tarash Police Station, had conducted the drive in the area around 7:30pm and rescued Badhon, OC added.
The law enforcers also arrested Moazzem.
One mound of lead seized

Customs officials seized a mound lead from Benapole International Check Post here yesterday morning.
Sadek Hossain, assistant Commissioner of Benapole Customs Intelligence, said that on secret information, a team of the customs official challenged Emran Kabir, 36, hailing from Gulshan, Dhaka.
Later, the officials recovered the lead worth TK 15lakh from his bag.
A case was filed in this connection.
It can be mentioned that import of lead is restricted.
27 arrested in Dinajpur
DINAJPUR: Police, in special drives from Monday night to this morning, arrested 27 persons including two activists of Jamaat-E-Islami, four alleged drug traders, and recovered 210 bottles of Phensidyl syrup and 10,500 pieces of cow fattening tablets from nine upazilas of the district, reports BSS.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.
Police said, during the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested five persons including two activists of Jamaat-E-Islami, Hakimpur police arrested four drug traders with 210 bottles of Phensidyl syrup and 10,500 pieces of cow fattening tablets, Khansama Thana police arrested three, Kaharole two, Birampur police arrested three accused, Phulbari Thana police three, Parbatipur Thana police two, Ghoraghat police three and Birganj Thana police arrested two accused.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
The arrested people were sent to jail.
Road accident kills one
BHOLA: A trolley driver was killed as his vehicle turned turtle in front of Tazumuddin Govt.College under Tazumuddin upazila of the district on Tuesday morning, reports BSS.
The victim was identified as M Miraj, 25, a resident of Shasiganj village under Chadpur union of the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Tazumuddin Thana AKM Sahin said the accident occurred when the sand-laden trolley turned turtle in the area at about 8 am as its driver lost control over the vehicle.
Miraj died on the spot as he fell down under the trolley.
4 minors drown in 2 districts
Dhaka: Three minor girls and a boy drowned in three separate incidents at Hajiganj upazila and municipality area of Chandpur district, and Lohajang upazila of Munshiganj on Monday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Faria, 2, daughter of Masud Alam of Barokul village, and Wridoy, 5, son of Badsha Miji of Bolakhal village of the upazila, Rabeya Begum, 9, daughter of Shahidul Islam of Pangsha upazila of Rajbari district and Nusrat Jahan Lamia, 7, daughter of Billal Hossain of Borobazar Mugda area of capital city Dhaka.
Our  Chandpur correspondent reports: Two minor drowned in two separate incidents at Haziganj upazila and municipality area of the district.
Quoting family members, resident doctor of Haziganj Health Complex Dr. Mohammad Awal Majumdar said Faria, 2, drowned in a pond in front of the home when her family members were busy with daily affairs.
Later, family members recovered her and rushed upazila health complex where on duty doctor declared her dead.
Hajiganj Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ali Nur Mohammad Bashir said another victim Wridoy drowned in a pond nearby a playground of Bolakhal JN High School when he went there for playing.
Locals, later, recovered him and rushed to upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.
In Munshiganj: Two girls drowned in the Padma River in Shimulia 3 No. Ferry Ghat area while they were taking bath in the river.
Locals said Rabeya and Lamia along with relatives went in the river to take bath at 2:30 pm. At one stage, they went missing in the river as they did not know swimming.
On information, police recovered the bodies from the river in the afternoon, said Lohaganj Upazila Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Anisur Rahman.
