Job seekers obstruct IU transport

A faction of job seekers put the main gate of Islamic University under lock and key yesterday demanding appointment in different low grade posts.
They disrupted movement of vehicles on the campus during the protests.  Sources said, former leaders of IU BCL unit Rasel Joarder, Elius Joarder, Anisuzzaman, Khokon, Masud and others locked the main gate of campus boarding the bus at 8 am. Following the incident, the teachers cancelled recruiting viva board of Economics Department. IU transport authorities Mamunur Rashid said the vehicels could not enter the campus after 8 am from both Kushtia and Jhenidah towns following the obstruction. Though the scheduled examinations were held but classes were suspended due to chaos.  IU VC Prof Dr Abdul Hakim Sarker said ‘We are trying to solve the problem soon.’
