Major General (retd) Muhammad Imrul Quayes, ndc, psc has been appointed as secretary of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), a press statement said yesterday.
Before retirement from the Bangladesh Army in 2014, Quayes served for more than two years as director general and CEO of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS).
He also served as director of Counter Terrorism and Intelligence Bureau of Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI).
Imrul Quayes was commissioned in 1979 as Second Lieutenant in the Armoured Corps of Bangladesh Army, the statement added.
