British Council team meets UGC chief

A-five member British Council (BC) delegation, led by its Deputy Director Matt Pusey, met UGC Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan his office in the capital yesterday, reports UNB. UGC member Prof Dr Abul Hashem and Additional Director, International Cooperation and Collaboration (ICC) Dr Md Fakhrul Islam were present during the meeting, said a press release. The other members of the delegation were Ismail Badad, Regional Manager for Higher Education and Further Education, BC, Touhidur Rahman, Head of IHE, BC, Hank Wiliams, UK Consultant and Mark Goodwin, UK Consultant and Faculty from Leicester University. The delegation discussed various issues of quality assurance, centre of excellence, governance and quality framework in Bangladesh universities.
