Ankon wins title of Khude Gaanraj

Everyone please pray for me, I want to go a long way with music, child singer Ankon from Barisal who has become the new Khude Gaanraj, expressed his immediate reaction after winning the title of the popular childrens musical reality show this year. After he was crowned the Khude Gaanraj of the shows sixth season, Ankon received a cheque worth five lakh taka and certificates of 10-year scholarship in Cambrian School and College, and lifetime free treatment in Japan-Bangladesh Hospital and Green Life Hospital.
The grand finale of Dione Chocolate-Channel i Khude Gaanraj-Season 6 was held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital on Friday. Oikya from Thakurgaon became the first runner up of this years reality show and Oishi from Chittagong became the second runner up. Besides receiving cheque worth three lakh taka and two lakh taka respectively, they also got the opportunity of availing scholarship and free treatment.
At the beginning of the grand finale, managing director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagor and chairman of AST Beverage Limited, sponsor of the event, Mohammad Harunur Rashid delivered welcome speeches. Channel i director and head of news Shykh Seraj announced the names of the winners.
Along with the guest judge Mitali Mukherjee, two main judges of the contest Ferdous Ara and SI Tutul were present at the event. During the final performance, singers Safi Mandal, Meher Afroz Shaon, Shafiq Tuhin, Ankhi Alamgir, Sharmin, Ashiq and Imran performed duet songs with the seven child artistes.
Besides, popular singers Samina Chowdhury and Kumar Bishwajit also performed at the grand finale.
