Call to appoint VC, pro-VC at RU

The Rajshahi University Teachers Association (RUTA) urged the chancellor of the university and also President Abdul Hamid to appoint top officials of Rajshahi University (RU) immediately as vice-chancellor and Pro-VC posts have been lying vacant from the March 19.

Recently treasurer post of the university was also lying vacant as Prof Sayen Uddin returned to his department.
RUTA president Prof Nazrul Islam and general secretary Dr Ruhul Ameen in a press release yesterday urged the chancellor to appoint VC, Pro-VC, and treasurer of the university as soon as possible.
In the press release they said “Due to absence of these higher officials academic and administrative activities are hampered very much”.
