BJSC Media Football kicks off today

Marcel BJSC media Football tournament will get underway from today with 24 media houses including electronics, Prints and online media houses are taking part in the competition.

The tournament will kick off from today at the Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium at 8am with Daily Star taking on Banik Barta in the opening match while the official opening will be held at 10am.
Tarafdar Ruhul Amin, managing director of the SAIF Powertec will inaugurate the tournament as the chief guest with Ashok Kumar Biswas, secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC), Abdur Rashid Sikder, vice-president of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation, Amirul Islam Babu, manager of the Mohammedan Sporting Club, FM Iqbal Bin Anwa, Operative director of the Walton Group will be present in the opening ceremony.
The first round of the 24 teams will play in round robin league system splitting into eight groups and the group champions will move into the quarterfinal.
The champions of the tournament will receive Taka 30,000 and the runners-up team will get Taka 20,000 while all the teams will be given the participation money and best player of each match, the player of the tournament and the highest scorer will also be awarded by the Walton Group.
