Govt committed to good governance

GAIBANDHA: Secretary (Coordination and Reformation) of Cabinet Division NM Zeaul Alam yesterday said the present government is fully committed to establish good governance in all spheres of the society to turn Bangladesh into a middle income country, reports BSS.
In this context, National Integrity Strategy formulated by the government could play vital role to attain the cherished goal as assistive strategy, he said. He made the comments while addressing an awareness raising workshop on National Integrity Strategy of Bangladesh at the conference room of District Collectorate Building here yesterday afternoon as the chief guest.
Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur Kazi Hasan Ahmed and deputy secretary of the Cabinet Division Altaf Hossain Sheikh were present as the special guests while deputy commissioner (DC) Abdus Samad presided over the workshop. District administration organised the workshop in collaboration with Cabinet Division and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Zeaul Alam said the active participation of all the men of the state organizations, civil society, and non-government and commercial organizations is very essential to implement the National Integrity Strategy and to take the nation ahead.
He also urged all to create social movement against the corruption to build poverty and hunger free country side by side with changing mindset and integrity practicing through materializing the dream of building digital Bangladesh, a vision 2021 declared by PM Sheikh Hasina.
