2 minors killed in road crash

Sirajganj: Two minor school children were killed and two other people injured as a pick-up van hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw on Sirajganj-Belkuchi road at Koritola intersection of Belkuchi upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Jahidul, 7, son of Sanaur Hossain, and Tithi, 6, daughter of Faruk Sarker, residents of Khidromatia village of the upazila, and students of Shaheen Pre-Cadet School. Nazmul, sub-inspector of Belkuchi Police Station, said the electric pole-laden pick-up van hit the auto-rickshaw in the morning, leaving Jahidul dead on the spot and three other people, including Tithi, injured. Later, the injured Tithi died on her way to hospital.
