Two farmers were found dead in separate incidents in Pabna and Natore, report agencies.
In Pabna, a farmer was found dead at Hidaskol village of Atgharia upazila yesterday morning. Anwarul Islam, officer-in-charge of Atgharia Police Station, said local people spotted the body of Sadek Ali Mridha, 59, in the morning and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna General Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Police primarily suspected that criminals might have strangulated Sadek to death sometime on Friday night and left the body in the field. The reasons behind the murder could not be known immediately.
In Natore, police recovered a body of a farmer from Patul Paschimpara area under Naldanga upazila yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ali, 65, resident of the same area.
Being informed, a team of police recovered the hanging body from a tree at around 11am.
