Comilla bus plunge kills 2

Comilla: Two people were killed and 15 others injured as a bus plunged into a rain-fed ditch alongside the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Burichong upazila yesterday, reports UNB. One of the deceased was identified as Shawon of Lalpur village of Noakhali district. Officer-in-Charge of Moynamati highway police Abdul Awal said the Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Asia Classic Paribahan’ from Noakhali skidded off the road and fell into the ditch at Kalakachua around 1pm after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving an unidentified girl aged around 12 dead on the spot and its 16 other passengers, including Shawon, injured. Critically injured Shawon was taken to Comilla Eastern Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
