DU VC, teachers pay tribute to Bangabandhu

About 160 members of the Dhaka University family, comprising of teachers and employees, lead by university Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique paid tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and offered prayers for his departed soul during a visit to Tungipara in Gopalganj yesterday. When contacted over the visit, VC Arefin Siddique said, “The Dhaka University family will offer prayers at the grave of the Father of the Nation ahead of the national mourning day and later visit the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University.” The DU family is going to observe August as the month of mourning and hold remembrance programmes throughout the month including on the National Mourning Day on August 15. The visit was made as part of the month-long mourning programme. The team visited the shrine of the Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman yesterday and offered prayers at his grave.
