11 honoured with ‘bbarta gold medals’

bbarta24.net, a news portal of the country, honoured eleven eminent personalities with gold medals in recognition of their outstanding contributions to their respective fields, a press statement said.

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu handed over the “2nd bbarta award” at a ceremony held at the National Public Library in the capital on Tuesday. 
‘bbarta gold medal’ is an humble effort which has been introduced to recognise eminent personalities who made enormous contribution to their own arenas, the statement added.
The list of awardees included Dr Dipu Moni (Politics),  Zunaid Ahmed Palak (ICT), Mahabub Ara Begum Gini (Indomitable Woman), Toab Khan (Journalism), Md Abdur Razzaq (Successful Entrepreneur), MA Goni (Organiser of Liberation War from abroad), Iftekharuzzaman  (Economics), Sumaiya Binte Mahtab (Research) Syed Hasan Imam and Laila Hasan (Art and Culture), and Mabia Akhter Simanta (Sports).
