Tangail bus plunge kills 7

Seven people were killed and 30 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Haripur in Ghatail upazila of Tangail yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased could not be identified while filing this report around 12:30am. Officer-in-Charge of Ghatail Police Station Kamal Hossain said a Dhanbari-bound bus of ‘Binimoy Paribahan’ from Dhaka skidded off the road and fell into the ditch around 10pm, leaving its seven passengers dead on the spot and 30 others injured. The injured were taken to Ghatail upazila health complex, he said. Two units of fire service were on the spot to run salvage operation.
