Mindset of traditional management

During a job interview session, the Chief Human Resources Officer asked to Faiyaaz – “Why are you interested to join in our company?’’. ‘’Just for your company culture”, Faiyaaz replied without thinking twice. 

Yes. Company Culture refers to the beliefs and behaviors that determine how a company’s employees and management interact and handle outside business transactions. Often, company culture is implied, not expressly defined, and develops organically over time from the cumulative traits of the people the company hires.
But the true scenario of our country is not same always. Literally some Multi- National Companies (MNC) and the second generation business organizations are following good culture. Rest of the company’s main focus is to make profit only not to develop the Company Culture. 

The following things can be considered as the Mind Set of Traditional Management: 

Only the leaders have offices
We’re always leery of a place where everyone has a cube except for the bosses. That usually indicates a hierarchical structure in which management and employees are at odds. Most of the employees feel uncomfortable to his or her boss and there is a serious mind gap and the ultimate productivity and the relation between senior and subordinate employees  hampered. 
No one talks about culture. Most of the companies in our country are not bothered about their culture. They never think that there are huge opportunities to sell their culture in society where they can set example to others. 
I have got opportunity to visit some factories of Ready Made Garments and they are selling their culture not only within the boundary of Bangladesh but also in the world. 
They are practicing the best culture and think about their employees and considered as strategic Business Partners. 
Leadership demonstrates bad culture. Culture always flows from the top. You may not have a chance to meet senior management, but you can probably track down a video of them. Your initial reaction may speak volumes about how much you’ll enjoy working at the company. 
Most of the entrepreneurs of our country are first generation business men and they feel  comfort to run their business by their family members even they have the ability or not. Having no trust on the true professionals in the market and subject experts, most of the companies cannot handover it to their next generation.
Discrimination in work place
Most of our local companies are doing discrimination in their companies in many ways. Sometimes, organizations are not recruiting the female due to some illogical traditional thinking. On the other hand most of our owners are bound to recruit their regional, like minded political followers though they are not qualified enough. It creates a serious bad culture in the organization that the owners understand later and some time they are also helpless!
Having no written Mission and Vision  Mission and Vision of a company reflects the guide to the people of whole organization that where is their ultimate destination, where they are now and what should they do for achieving their GOAL. Unfortunately, most of our local companies are not aware about it and ultimately they cannot sustain their business in the long run.  
No Work Life Balance 
One of my university junior friends, a Manager of a local organization, called me couple of days back and requested me to search a job for him since he has no option to return from his office even it is 11 PM! I asked him the reason behind it. He replied me that his assistant Manager has resigned more than six month ago but Management informed him to run his department without that position! As a result he is in serious work load. The scenario of the organizations is mostly same in all organization except some true MNCs and employee friendly organizations.   
Finally, since the employee has a choice of employers, the companies should create a good culture. Both employee and employers will be happy and no doubt the company will sustain in the long run with good profit.
