India will initiate a process soon to send 600 buses and 500 trucks to Bangladesh under its 2nd Line of Credit (LoC), said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader yesterday, reports UNB.
He came up with the information while talking to reporters after Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla met him at the Bridge Bhaban in the city.
“It has taken a shape now. The Indian High Commissioner told me that the process of floating a tender is on and the obstacle to procuring buses and trucks from India under the LoC is going to be over,” he said.
The minister also said three road projects will be implemented under the 3rd Indian LoC.
Later, Malaysian High Commissioner in Dhaka Nur Ashikin Binti Mohd Taib met Quader at the Bridge Bhaban.
