Seminar on IoT, Cloud and Data Science at ULAB
University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) in collaboration with the DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Ltd and Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, organised a seminar on Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud and Data Science on Tuesday.
This three-hour event started at the ULAB Auditorium, where the event showcased state-of-the-art technological and research advancements of IoT, Cloud and Data Science.
The seminar started with the welcome speech of ULAB Vice-Chancellor (Acting) Prof Imran Rahman followed by speeches of Mahboob Zaman, managing director, M Manjur Mahmud -Director COO of Datasoft Systems Ltd and Peter Yang, Vice President, Huawei Bangladesh. Professor Imran Rahman in his speech pointed out the importance of industry-academia collaboration in higher education. It is worthwhile to mention that, in collaboration with Datasoft and ICT ministry, ULAB is the academic partner to manage and operate countrys first and only IoT Lab.
Condolence meet held at Gono Bishwabidyalay
Gono Bishwabidyalay organised a condolence meeting on Prof Mahmuda Khanum, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Board Member of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), at the VCs conference room of the university yesterday, says a press release.
Prof Laila Parveen Banu, vice-chancellor (Current) of Gono Bishwabidyalay, presided over the meeting. Md Delower Hossain, registrar; Prof Md Ashraf Ul Karim Khan, dean, Faculty of Health Medical Sciences; Prof Md Mostafizer Rahman, dean, Faculty of Veterinary Animal Sciences Prof Doctor Farida Adib Khanum, Principal of Gonoshasthaya Samajvittik Medical College; and officers were present in the meeting. The speakers discussed on working life of Mahmuda Khanum. Later, a special prayer was held for peace of the departed soul.
