Female lawyer assaulted by youth

An apprentice lawyer was assaulted allegedly by a youth at Chittagong court building area yesterday afternoon.
The lawyer Parvin Akter received injuries on his nose and face. She was undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Police detained alleged attacker SM Solaiman Rubel, a resident of Kulgaon area in the port city.
Advocate Abu Hanif, general secretary of Chittagong District Bar Association said Rubel misbehaved with the apprentice lawyer in front of land registry office around 4pm. He assaulted the lawyer as she opposed his misbehavior.
Hanif said lawyers and passerby rescued the lawyer and detained the assaulter Rubel. Later they handed over him to Kotwali Police.
