Doctor, nurse die from ‘food poisoning’ in Sirajganj

A physician and a nurse of Kazipur Upazila Health Complex died of ‘food poisoning’ and the head clerk of the hospital fell sick after having meals yesterday, reports UNB. Civil Surgeon of Sirajganj Dr Manjur Rahman said head clerk Alamgir Hossain of the hospital invited his colleagues to take lunch at his house. After they had the food there, three of them -- medical officer Dr Maniruzzaman, nurse Jobaida Khatun and Alamgir himself -- fell sick. They were sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra where Jobaida and Maniruzzaman died around 9 pm.
