HC seeks explanation over bail of UZ chairman

The High Court yesterday issued a rule asking the government to explain as to why the bail of Haimchar upazila chairman Nur Hossain Patwari in a case filed for 'walking over a human bridge made by schoolboys' should not be cancelled, reports UNB. An HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Jahangir Hossain issued the rule following a petition. It also questioned under which authority the Judge of a lower court granted him bail. Chandpur deputy commissioner, the child court concerned of Chandpur, Upazila Parishad Chairman and others concerned have been made respondents to the rule which is returnable in two weeks.
