Titas Gas transmission and Distribution Company authority in a drive disconnected more than 2,000 illegal gas lines from different houses at Lichubagan area of Gazipur on Tuesday.
Titas gas Gazipur office and Bhaluka regional office jointly conducted the drives with the help of local administration. Engineer Sabber Ahmed, manager of Gazipur Titas office, said more than 2,000 illegal line of 1,000 houses of at least seven point of the area were disconnected during the drives from morning till afternoon.
The mobile team also seized about 800 meter pipes using the illegal connection. However, the illegal users managed to flee from their houses sensing the presence of mobile team. Engineer Sabber Ahmed , engineer Sabiul Awal, Mirza Mamunur Rahman, Rezaul Haque of Gazipur office and engineer Shahabuddin, Atikul Islam, Khnadaker Zahidul Haque of Bhaluka Titas office were present during the drives.
