Aynabaji Original Series, a brand new TV series continuing the legacy of the record breaking film, was announced yesterday at a press conference. Following the original movie Aynabaji’s central spirit, which builds on a narrative that a person in his single lifetime may live many and different person’s lives – evolves the core concept of this unique ‘Aynabaji Original Series’. This is the first time that a film made in Bangladesh has been adapted into a TV series, which is more common in the international film industry.
In the Original Series, seven different episodes come with seven different stories on different backdrops in different places, situations, incidents around different characters. Yet they are true to the core spirit of Aynabaji, and there lies its uniqueness and beauty. Every single episode is expected to carry the weight of the original film with its magnetism of storytelling, acting and appearance.
The seven full one-hour different episodes are set to run on three different TV channels – a GTV, RTV & Deepto TV simultaneously at the same time, on the seven consecutive days of Eid ul Fitr.
Aside from the seven topline directors, the same group who created Aynabaji the film are also overseeing the project, with Amitabh Reza as the overall directorial consultant, Syed Gausul Alam Shaon as the creative consultant. Tom Creations & Kandy Production is jointly producing this ‘Aynabaji Original Series’. The new directors are Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Ashfaq Nipun, Sumon Anowar, Goutam Koiri, Tanim Rahman Angshu and Rabiul Alam Robi.
Amitabh Reza, Directorial Consultant ‘Aynabaji Original Series’ said, “Aynabaji went a long way in changing people’s perceptions of what to except from Bangladeshi cinema; the film’s support literally grew into a storm.
