Woman gang-raped in Jessore

A young housewife was allegedly gang-raped by four men at Basuari village in Abhaynagar Upazila on Thursday night, reports BSS.Quoting family members of the victim, sub-inspector Taizul Islam of Basuari Police Camp said Mohammad Ali, 50, Labbu Hossain, 35, Rakib Hossain, 32 and Jamir Hossain, 30, took the housewife forcibly to the living room while she was cooking around 8 pm.Later, they raped her one after another.However, they fled scene when locals rushed to the spot hearing the screams of the victim.The housewife, whose name is being protected, was admitted to Abhaynagar Upazila Health Complex on that night.Husband of the victim alleged Ali along with his three associates raped his wife following existing enmity over a land related dispute.
