Biman bags Tk 1.3cr sale in tourism fair

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has bagged a Tk 1.30 crore sale of tickets at the three-day international travel and tourism fair, reports BSS.
The national flag carrier has received the response from the travelers following the offer of 20 per cent discount on six international routes, said officials.
Talking to the news agency, Biman spokesperson Shakil Meraj yesterday said the travelers, especially holiday makers, have accepted the discount offer that was brought at the Biman Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BBTTF) for their convenience.
“Following the good response, we’ve extended the deadline till today (April 24) which was supposed to end at the BBTTF,” he added.
Replying to a query, Shakil said the ticket on discount offer will be available only at Biman’s Motijheel, Banani and Ashkuna sales centers.
“Biman has registered highest sale at the BBTTF compared to any local such event”, he said, adding that the national flag carrier also bagged sale of over Tk 50 lakh from the Dhaka Travel Mart-2017 in last March.
The three-day BBTTF was organised by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) with the partnership of Biman Bangladesh Airlines in city’s Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on April 20-22.
Biman offered 20 per cent discount in economy class on six international routes—Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka, Dhaka-Singapore-Dhaka, Dhaka-Yangon-Dhaka, Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka, Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka and Dhaka-Kathmandu-Dhaka—as part of its effort to provide convenience services to the travelers.
