KHULNA: Speakers here urged to work seriously for quality service and harassment free public service to achieve double digit growth in the country, reports BSS.
A district level ‘KAIZEN’ seminar on Public service development through Total Quality Management (TQM) was held yesterday at the conference room of Khulna Circuit House with Dr Muhammad Abu Yousuf, MDS of BPATC of Savar in the chair.
KAIZEN, two Japanese words 'Kai' and 'Zen', means to change for good and continuous improvement.
Development of KAIZEN will get better service of our continuous task, to be done our works easier and to be satisfied people.
Bangladesh Public-Administration Training Center (BPATC), Khulna District Administration and Japan International Cooperation Association (JAICA) jointly organized the seminar.
Khulna divisional commissioner Md. Abdus Samad addressed the seminar as chief guest while deputy commissioner of Khulna Nazmul Ahsan addressed as special guest.
Deputy Secretary of BPATC Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman delivered the well come speech.
While inaugurating the seminar the chief guest divisional commissioner Md Abdus Samad said we will achieve double digit growth if we can bring development spree of country's 16 crore people. We should work seriously, quality service and harassment free public service to achieve the target.
Everyone can become self reliant in knowledge based profession, he said adding that knowledge based society can build a developed Bangladesh.
Government Officers in different sector, UNO's, Upazila Chairman and Media personnel, among others, attended the seminar.
