Int’l workshop begins today

A five-day international workshop on "Emerging Roles of Producers' Association and Farmers' Cooperatives" will be held at a hotel in the capital for increasing productivity in industry and agriculture sectors in the Asia-Pacific regional countries, reports BSS.
Senior secretary of the Industries Ministry M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan will attend as the chief guest at the inaugural session of the workshop, said a press release on Friday.
National Productivity Organisation (NPO) in association with Japan based Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) is organising the workshop to develop the skill of producers and farmers.
A total of 26 representatives from various countries, like Cambodia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Bangladesh will take part in the workshop. The workshop is scheduled to end on April 27.
