Road crashes kill 4 in two districts

Four people including two members of Bangladesh Coast Guard were killed in road accidents in Barguna and Mymensingh districts yesterday. In Barguna, two members of Bangladesh Coast Guard were killed and another was injured as a passenger ran over them at Bandra intersection on Amtali-Kalapara road in Amtali upazila of the district yesterday, reports BSS.
Police said the dead coast guard members were identified as Md Fuad Hossain, 23, and Abdus Sadek, 30. The name of the injured is Enamul Haque.
The accident took place at noon while the Patuakhali bound bus collided head on with a motorcycle carrying the three coast guard personnel.
The coast guard members working with the force on deputation from Bangladesh Navy were going to Kalapara at the time of accident.Fuad and Sadek died on the spot.
Injured Enamul Haque was admitted to Kalapara Upazila Health Complex.Officer-in-charge of Amtali Thana Md Shahidullah said their bodies were sent to hospital for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection, he added.Our Mymensingh correspondent adds: Two people including a schoolboy were killed in a road accident in Kanarampur Bazar area on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj road in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh yesterday morning.The deceased were CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver Shatil Mia, 28, and his cousin Rakib, 13, of Beelbadera in Nandail.  
Rakib, son of Shahadul Islam is a seventh grader of Kashinagar High School, police sources said.The victims died on the spot when their Nandail bound CNG auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a bus around 6am, said Md Ataur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Nandail Police Station. On information, police rushed to the spot, and recovered the bodies.Police seized the vehicles. A case was lodged.
