Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq said yesterday the government has been working to turn Directorate of Registration into a department aimed at making it as a dynamic and people oriented organisation, reports BSS.
"We would turn it as an efficient, effective, dynamic and people-oriented department by bringing all its officials under training programs," he said as the chief guest at concluding ceremony of a basic training program for sub-registers at Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) at Savar.
"I had earlier promised to arrange training programs for sub-registrars. I would like to assure you that such training programs will continue in the days to come," he said, adding they afterwards will be able to serve the people with better services.
"The government is set to construct registry and sub-registry offices equipped with modern facilities at each of the districts aimed at providing the people with better services. A project involving Taka 389.76 crore has already been taken to construct four-storey registry building in 14 districts and 98 sub-registry offices of two and three stories buildings," the minister said.
Presided over by Member of Directing Staff of BPATC, Md Zayedul Haque, the function was attended by Law Secretary Abu Saleh Sk Md Zahirul Haque, and officials of the ministry and BPATC.
