8 gamblers jailed in Faridpur

A mobile court here sentenced eight gamblers to one month imprisonment each in Sadar upazila of the district yesterday, reports BSS.
On secret information, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) led by Squad commander and senior assistant director Billal Hossain conducted a raid at Fakirhat Bazar under Kanaipur union of Sadar upazila around 5am and arrested the gamblers while they were gambling.
The arrestees were later produced before the mobile court which jailed them for one month each.
The convicts are Wahab Sheikh, 50, Md Rabbi Sheikh, 19, Sentu Sheikh, 27, Anwar Bepari, 23, Tito Bepari, 19, Rony Miah, 19, Mojnu Sheikh, 35 and Md Titun Sheikh, 19.
The convicted persons were sent to jail.
