Water levels in 24 rivers stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 59 stations recorded falls, reports BSS. Among the 84 monitored water level stations, nine are above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said yesterday. All the major river systems are in falling trend which may likely to continue in next 48 hours. The flood situation in few areas of Sylhet may likely to improve in next 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Metrological Department, there is chance of medium to heavy shower in the South-Eastern regions of Bangladesh in next 24 hours.
