Road accident kills police constable

BOGRA: A police constable was killed when a truck knocked him down on Dhaka-Rangpur highway at Mokamtola in Shibganj upazila of the district early hours yesterday.
The deceased was identified as police constable Shah Alam, of Mokamtola police camp.Officer-in-charge (OC) of Shibganj Thana police Shahid Mahumud Khan said the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound truck from Rangpur hit him at the area around 5am he died on the spot while he was returning home after his night duty.The body was kept at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital morgue.
