Nazmul Karim Tinku, director of Bangladesh Cricket Board, died of cardiac arrest yesterday at Apollo Hospital in the capital yesterday. He was 57.
Tinku, who is also the chairman of BCB umpires’ committee, first admitted to Square Hospital with severe food poisoning on Monday from where he was transferred to Apollo Hospital for better treatment as in formed by BCB media committee chairman Jalal Yunus. Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association has mourned the death of Nazmul Karim Tinku and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul. He was also the president of Kalabagan thana Awami League and general secretary of Kalabagan Krira Chakra.
