Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will hold their important board meeting at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) on April 22.
The much-anticipated issue of the revamped structure of the contracted players’ salaries and match fees will be finalized and approved. Along with that, the schedules and venues of the next back-to-back home series against Pakistan and Australia in July-September will be decided along with others regular and monetary matters.
Pakistan will tour in Bangladesh to play the scheduled series as per the schedule of the future tour’s programme (FTP) in July. Along with that, Australia will come here to play two-Test series in the next September. But the venues of these tours have not finalized yet. As per the BCB’s proposed schedule, the Test matches against Australia will be held before and after the next Eid-ul-Azha.
“The schedule and venue of a series are finalized in the board meeting. We’ve a board meeting on April 22. In that meeting, we will finalise all these issues,” said BCB CEO Nizamuddin.
When asked about players’ proposed salary structure, the CEO said that they are working on different options of the issue.
“The way Bangladesh team has been performing they will make their expectation that’s a normal thing. We’ll also try to gratify them. Actually the financial matter inspires all whatever stage one belongs to,” Nizamuddin opined.
