The Chittagong University (CU) authority yesterday suspended its four students temporary on charge of snatching three cell phones, wallet and one DSLR camera from some visitors on Monday afternoon.
The students were identified as Mahmudul Hasan, a student of English department, academic session 2014-2015, Md Nahid Alam, a student of History department, academic session 2013-2014, Iftekhar Uddin Riaz, a student of institute of modern language, academic session 2015-16, Sohel Mia, a student of Islami History and Sanskrit department, academic session, 2015-16. All of them were known as follower of Fazly Rabby Sujon, general secretary of CU BCL.
Md Ali Asgor Chowdhury, Proctor of CU said, “After investigation on Monday incident, we find their involvement. For this we suspended them with the rules of Board of Residence Health and Disciplinary committee.” Meanwhile, on Monday, three visitors lodged a written complaint to the CU proctor against them for snatching their belongings.
