Bangladesh will play two practice matches against two heavyweights Asian teams before going into the main campaign of their ICC Champions Trophy-2017 in England in May.

The eight-nation Champions Trophy is scheduled to kickstart on June 1, in where Bangladesh will face off the hosts England at the Oval on the opening day.
Tigers, who will play a tri-nation against Ireland and New Zealand in Ireland prior to the extravaganza event, will hold a 10-day preconditioning camp in Sussex before heading for Ireland. They will play two 50-over practice matches against Duke of Norfolk on March 3 and Sussex County Club on March 5.
“Firstly we will go in England, in where we will hold a 10-day preconditioning camp,” said Akram Khan, chairman of BCB cricket operation.
“We will play two 50-over matches before heading for Ireland. In tri-nation series, we will play four matches and then we will back again in England for ICC Champions Trophy,” Akram told The Independent.
“We will play another two practice matches against India and Pakistan before the outset of our Champions mission,” he added.
Tigers will take on Pakistan on May 27, while they face off India on May 30.
Asked if there is possible to rope in spin coach before their long-tour in Ireland and England, Akram, who is board director, said that they could not get anyone ‘available’ what they have in their list.
“We’ve talked with three-four persons. But we could not disclose their names. We’ve not got them available. I think we could not get any of them before the Champions Trophy. Then we will pick anyone of them who will be better for the Bangladesh team,” the board director said.  He said that they will take one more players what they did in Australia-New Zealand tour.
“We’ll try to take one or two more players with the 15-member squad as a back-up players what we did earlier in the biggest tournaments. But we have not fixed those players yet,” the ex-captain told.
