Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate drives arrested three alleged Yaba traders of Myanmar, including one with bullet wounds, and recovered 6.5 lakh pieces of Yaba inTeknaf upazila early yesterday, reports UNB from Cox’s Bazar. BGB sources said a patrol team challenged a gang of Yaba traders of Myanmar at Neitongpara around 5:15am. Sensing BGB's presence, the Yaba traders opened fire on them, prompting them to fire back, which left one of them injured. The team then arrested another two traders of the gang. Later, they recovered the Yaba pills and two cartridges from the spot. Another BGB patrol team seized 5 lakh pieces of Yaba from Jhaliar Char in the Naf River early in the morning, the sources added.
