"We pledge to uncover the mystery behind the enforced disappearances and ensure punishment to those who responsible by putting them on trial," she tweeted. The BNP chief twitted it along with a photograph of the wife and daughter of her party's missing leader M Ilias Ali, marking the 5th anniversary of is 'enforced disappearance'. Ilias Ali, BNP's the then Sylhet divisional organising secretary and a former MP, went missing along with his driver Ansar Ali on the midnight of April 17 in 2012. Since then, BNP has been blaming security agencies for his mysterious disappearance, an allegation denied by the government. To mark the day, Sylhet Bibhag Sanghati Sammelani arranged a discussion at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh today demanding that Ilias be traced. BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and the party’s some other senior leaders spoke at the programme.
