Audience-admired Bangladeshi film actress Sohana Saba is playing a unique role in her new Indian Bengali film titled ‘Epar Opar’. The film is directed by celebrated Indian filmmaker Haranath Chakraborty. This is the second mission for Saba in the Kolkata film industry, who made her debut there with the film ‘Shararipu’.
With the cast and crew of the film, director Haranath Chakraborty is currently in Nepalganj of West Bengal. He is shooting a few scenes of the film in a set of refugee camp there.
The film portrays the contemporary issues of the Bangladesh’s Liberation War. The film is based on true stories of two families from two Bengals during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.
Saba said about the film, “It’s completely a different feeling to work with Haranath Chakraborty. He portrays the issues of Chhitmahal in an outstanding manner in the film. I am feeling amazing with the opportunity of working in a film like this.”
