Bullet-hit ‘criminal’ dies at DMCH

A listed criminal of the capital’s Vasantek area, who suffered bullet injuries in an attack by his rivals near Shilpirtek slum on Tuesday, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Saturday, reports UNB.
Chiko Jamal alias Musa, 40, who was undergoing treatment at the DMCH, succumbed to his injuries around 10:45 am, said sub-inspector Bachchu Miah, in-charge of the DMCH police camp. The body was sent DMCH morgue for autopsy.
Jamal received bullet injuries when a group of miscreants swooped on him and fired gunshots near Shilpirtek slum on Tuesday afternoon.
With five bullet injuries in his abdomen and right hand Musa was admitted to the DMCH. Officer-in-charge of Vasantek police station Sabbir Ahmed said Chiko was an accused in 10 cases filed with different police stations in the capital.
