Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) yesterday conducted drives in the capital's Dhanmondi and Uttara areas to remove illegal guesthouses, restaurants and hotels from residential areas and illegal ramps from footpaths, reports UNB.
A mobile court Rajuk Zone-5, led by executive magistrate M Nasiruddin, conducted a drive at Free School Street (holding numbers 303/ka and 298) and removed partially illegal structures there and asked the concerned owners to remove the rest of the illegal structures within the stipulated time.
Another mobile court of Rajuk Zone-2, led by executive magistrate Mamun Miah, conducted a drive at Uttara sector 12 and 13 and bulldozed a number of shops constructed on the parking places of different holdings under the sectors for illegally using residential plots for commercial purposes.
