‘Kolpokoushol’, a knowledge initiative by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) students and alumni, was announced yesterday at a programme held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the capital.
The programme is jointly organised by Standard Chartered Bank and Toru, the idea tree and the first innovation hub of Bangladesh that supports transformation of new ideas to social problems.
Kolpokoushol, a platform where young people can be inspired to acquire skills and use those skills towards social problems.
The initiative is organising a workshop from July 23 to July 28 at University of Liberal Arts, Bangladesh (ULAB) following by demo day on July 29. The programme was attended by Saif Kamal, founder of Toru, Bitopi Das Chawdhury, head of corporate affairs, Standard Chartered Bangladesh, and Saquib, a PHD student at MIT in the field of Social Computing.
