Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said the government is working to reach 65 percent technical education aiming to transform Bangladesh into an economically developed country.
"We have set a target to reach 20 percent technical and vocational education by 2020," he made the comment when a delegation of European Union (EU) called on him in the conference room of the Education Ministry.
EU Ambassador to Bangladesh Pierre Mayaudon led the delegation, an official release said. Other members of the delegation were head of Cooperation of EU in Bangladesh Mario Ronconi, team leader of Human Resources and Social Development Jurgen Heimann and Programme Manager Meriem El Harouchi.
