UNB

President M Abdul Hamid yesterday said scouting can play a very significant role in saving the new generation from fanaticism, communalism, terrorism and militancy, reports UNB.

"...no religion allows militancy and terrorism, and scouts can play an important role against the curse of fanaticism, communalism, terrorism and militancy," he said.
The President was addressing 'President's Scout Award' distribution programme at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital yesterday.
Abdul Hamid said scouting activities can show the new generation the way to modernisation, creativity and development highway to turn Bangladesh into a 'Sonar Bangla', earlier dreamt by Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
